Mississippi - Nissan pelakukan withdrawal for repairs (recall) massively to 13,919 units of the Altima sedan being manufactured. Reportedly there are some bolts were not tightened and can not allow to escape.
If this is allowed to stand it will be very dangerous and can threaten the safety of consumers. Program recall involves units manufactured at Nissan's plant in Canton, Mississippi, United States. Recorded production model terdapak 10 May to 26 July 2012. With so 2012 models are also affected.
"Some vehicles may have been manufactured with a transverse four bolts and two bolts on the power steering is not the exact specification," Nissan said in a statement from the NHTSA. Similarly, as quoted from autoevolution, Wednesday (24/01/2012).
"Based on the investigation, it has been established that if the bolt is loose or detached completely then the driver will have difficulty in controlling the vehicle," said Nissan.
This withdrawal program will start at the end of this month. Nissan authorized repair shop will inspect and tighten the screw that will be problematic to exact specifications.
In the U.S., the 2013 Altima is available in three choices and two engine options, the 2.5-liter DOHC, four-cylinder engine that can generate power 182 (38 mpg) and 3.5-liter V6 engine that can give off power 270 horsepower mated to a CVT.
