McLaren Supercar Design Design Competition
ENGLAND - McLaren recently held a design competition to design a future supercar, which started last 2011. The results are fantastic, the competition is able to spawn a masterpiece from the hands of the Royal College of Art students.
After presenting their work at the McLaren Technology Centre, the five students with the best design is selected at the end of the competition. The design was made in three-dimensional models for the show.
Is Teeravit Hanharutaivan, winner of the competition to design the MP4-S with a single seeter, which is designed as an urban vehicle and is also suitable for the race track. Design outcome is considered to have a character designed by a jury bold, Frank Stephenson.
Teeravit designed the car with carbon fiber, combined with plastic material. The design also does not use the dashboard, but using a head-up display instead of the dashboard.
Teeravit Besides, there are also Mariana Merenmies selected as the best design. Mariana design a McLaren JetSet, which focused on the efficient aerodynamic system.
"The challenge is to create a supercar competition and the future course should be attractive to consumers McLauren the class," said the woman also works as a designer of this car.
Previously, McLaren deliberately challenged the participants to create a minimalist style of the McLaren super car. And the competition is also one form of the consistency of its British manufacturer to produce a new model in 2015 and 2020.
