Cizeta V16T

MODENA-On paper, Cizeta V16T can be seen very successful. But building a good car does not always go smoothly when it enters into the world of business, and Cizeta not have what it takes to compete with other supercar manufacturers.

But on the other hand, this car was made by people who are experienced in building an exotic super car.

Cizeta Automobili is Italian automobile manufacturer established in late 1980 by Claudio Zampolli, one Ferrari dealership owners and Giorgio Moroder, a record producer. The name 'Cizeta' is derived from the Italian pronunciation, abbreviation Claudio Zampolli (CZ).

The only product they are Cizeta-Moroder V16T supercar, now just Cizeta V16T, because Giorgio Moroder has decided to step down. This car has the highest technical specifications of the 16-cylinder engine technology with a transverse configuration.

Body design is done by Marcello Gandini, who also designed the Lamborghini Countach and Miura. Cizeta V16T design very similar to the Lamborghini Diablo, because Gandini had submitted a proposal to the design while Lamborghini is owned Chrysler in 1987. But Chrysler said the design Cizeta V16T too embarrassing, no thank booed he finally decided to join berasama Cizeta.

Debut in 1988, the code name for the V16T is the drive system. 16 cylinder engine is actually made of two V8 engines are coupled with a crank. Has eight camshafts, this applied not only can be seen from the Bugatti Veyron W16 engine belonging, but also in some modern car engines. The symbol 'T' on V16T not mean turbocharged but significant transverse section. Thanks to the large engine mounted transversely body shape to be very wide.

6.0 liter engine producing 540 HP, and once said is faster than Diablo, although these results were never confirmed. Original manufacturer Modena was first released in 1991 Cizeta V16T, but obviously he does not directly deal with his own direct descendants, Lamborghini Diablo.

Cizeta V16T has several advantages compared to Diablo, but the selling price is two times more expensive. In 1991 Cizeta V16T USD300.000 priced equivalent to Rp2, 9 billion. The prestige of the brand Lamborghini Cizeta also not as good, and eventually only eight cars ever produced until manufacture was discontinued in 1995.
