Mazda Indonesia Not Know About the Cheap Car

Last week, Mazda said it was cheaper to design eco-friendly concept cars (LCGC). The plan will be created with the name of the Mazda2 small version Mazda1.

Responding to the news of Mazda Motor Indonesia (MMI) claimed not to get a cheap car from Mazda principal. Even the MMI itself does not have a plan in two or three years to launch a cheap car. "We've heard about a cheap car,

and very nice if Mazda does have a central plan. But, it seems there are no plans launch in Indonesia, "said President Director of PT MMI, Keizo Okue, Wednesday (24/10/2012).

Okue added, if the opportunity is not closed Mazda Indonesia launched a cheap car. According to him, all the possibilities are still there but of course it still depends on the principal.

"Cheap car was coined a good prospect and he may get there. But, it all depends on principal Mazda. We here can not say anything because there is no info and instructions, "continued Okue.

Mazda1 development project is still in the planning stages. Mazda still see market opportunities and design that will be displayed, before designing the concept Mazda1.

Mazda has two scenarios for designing Mazda1. First to develop a model of super-frugal city car like the Volkswagen Up. Then develop a small car with low prices for emerging markets.

The second option, Mazda entered the emerging markets in Southeast Asia with an inexpensive model. Mazda can follow the steps to develop Nissan Datsun in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. (zwr)
