Extrem Concept Nissan Named Baby Beast



SAO PAULO - Nissan had a surprise in the event the Sao Paolo Auto Show 2012, Brazil, by presenting the concept of Extrem. This is the first concept car in Brazil.

Variants of Nissan's concept has a 2 +2 configuration (two doors, two seats front and rear). Nissan called the Baby Beast with a compact new urban sport genre.

The concept looks like a two-door crossover, and using elements of Nissan's GT-R and Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet. Nissan call it a new genre of compact sport utility vehicles.

"We named him Baby Beast. This is urban vehicle rally, a tough fighter jalananm also has the ability to drive in the woods," said Robert Bauer, Nissan's senior design manager as reported Insideline.

But unfortunately Nissan hastily asserted that Extrem will only existed as a concept car, and there are no plans to memproduksinua. Nissan Baby Beast was designed by Nissan Design America in San Diego in collaboration with Brazilian designers.

Extrem similar to the Nissan March, but higher, wider and longer than city car. This concept uses Solar Cortex new exterior colors, with metallic orange color.

 Nissan said the engine power combined with the Baby Beast uses gasoline direct injection system, a turbocharged 1.6-liter capacity. This concept is also used in race cars Nissan DeltaWing Le Mans. The drive system uses front-wheel drive models, and all-wheel drive.

 Design with sharp scalloped sides create the impression of such formidable armored. Hardback glass, roof rails and a separate floating pillar C. Roof pattern inspired by graphic Brazil. 19-inch alloy wheels complement the foot Baby Beast.
