AL Manama - A McLaren X-1 is rumored to appear as the title of Formula One racing in Bahrain last week, as rumored Teamspeed (24/04/2013). Supercar with unique design is rare, appearing in the crowd, Bahrain flag that can be seen on the license plate indicates this car owned by one of the citizens of the oil-rich country.
X-1 is a concept car made by McLaren, in particular just made for consumers who already have a McLaren F1, the MP4-12C and Mercedes-Benz SLR. The wealthy consumers can ask McLaren Special Operations (MSO) to make one unit of X-1 which has a base model of the MP4-12C as an extra in the garage.
According to Director of MSO, Paul MacKenzie, X-1 taken inspiration from a variety of models, such as the Facel Vega, 1961 Chrysler D'Elegance Ghia, 1953, 1959 Buick Electra, Mercedes-Benz 540K 1939 and the Citroën SM 1971.
Incorporation of all these elements in the body produces a very unique design for a supercar, and Batman just seems to be out of the inside.
McLaren X-1 has a weight of 1,400 kg, and share the same mechanical system with the MP4-12C, including the twin-turbo engine 616 HP. MSO has been instilled throughout the body with carbon materials thus making it wider 18.8 cm, and 10.9 cm longer than the MP4-12C.
The exterior is equipped with the last touch of a sprinkling of piano black color. All parts ditel exterior using a mixture of nickel and aluminum plate material, while the wheels use the same color as the body.
